CALVES AT LANCASTER A FLYING TRADE

Take off as 133 head of calves zoomed to big heights from start to finish and the weekly Friday sale.

Bulls sold to £1040 and £1020 at 4 and 5 Months from Messrs Drinkall Bros and Messrs FW Rhodes respectively. Younger Blue Bulls hit £810 at just 2 Months old from Messrs JP & C Robson. Heifers got to £1160 from Messrs RE & P Miller for a pair of Aberdeen Angus. Limousins hit £1080 twice and £1050 twice from Messrs AT Burrow & Son. The same good home sold Blues to £1040. 4 Month old Charolais Heifers from Messrs FW Rhodes & Son sold for £860. Blue Heifers a tad younger got to £770 from Messrs J & G Thornley Ltd. Angus Heifers at 3 Months sold for £760 from Wallbank Farms and 2 Month old Charolais and Blue Heifers from Lawsons Dairy Ltd sold for £720 and £710.
